In April, there has been an increase of about 37.82 percent in hate speech on social media platform Facebook and 86 percent increase in content spreading violence on Instagram.

New Delhi (PTI). According to a monthly report released by Meta, hate posts on Facebook and Instagram have increased by approximately 37.82 and 86 percent. Also, let us tell you that most of the content in the report is based on detection by the social media platforms themselves before reporting by the users. According to the report released on May 31, Facebook had detected 53,200 posts containing hate speech in April. Which is 37.82 percent more than the 38,600 found in March. On which action has also been taken.
Action is being taken as per standard
The report revealed that Instagram took action on 77,000 violence and hate posts in April compared to 41,300 in March. Also, it was said in the report that we are keeping an eye on many posts which include posts, photos, videos or comments and we are taking action on them as per our standards. After which, as a result, that post has been removed from Facebook or Instagram. Also, the action may include photos or video, which may be disturbing to some viewers.
